Turning an empty place into a contemporary house

MOOARC has designed the house La Concha a combination between traditional elements and new styles in architecture. What make almost all of people surprise is that it was built in the seperated island in 15th century and now become a contemporary house. The modern house is comfortable and it combines natural materials like wood and stone.The façade reveals grey and blue stone and the tiled roof with its roof –top windows fit the surroundings.

Another special feature in the design of this house is making the interior completely visible from the outside. The interior has a contemporary aspect and glass is dominant material used. The presence of bricks in the design relates more to the traditional style.

The kitchen and the main living room are the most lit rooms in the house. There is a balance when it comes to the overall design since nothing seems out of place ,the different styles-old and new-combined create a sense of luxury and comfort  
 

Amazing floating house design in Costa Rica

The floating house designed by Architect Benjamin Garcia Saxe is a dream holiday retreat in the jungle of Costa Rica.
From the architects, the unconventional house is made up of three pods, connected by bridges and walkways. Moreover, “it is fitted with sustainable teak floors, solar water heating and UV water filtration systems. The infinity swimming pool, which sits below the house, allows you to enjoy the sunset, watch the waves and listen to the chorus of parrots and monkeys which live alongside you in the tree canopy.” To us, this house design project resembles a luxurious tree-house, where the indoor-outdoor interplay takes center stage.

The layout functionally serves the modern living needs of up to seven guests: “The lounge, framed by floor-to-ceiling glass concertina doors, has low sofas and handmade love chairs for relaxing in and making the most of the jungle and ocean views. An impressive 24m corridor connects the main living space to the two upstairs bedrooms and the huge open-air, bamboo-lined, spa bathroom. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and the second bedroom contains a queen-size bed and a single bed. The third bedroom, downstairs, is more compact with a double bed, en suite toilet and shower.” Each room features lovely shutters that open towards the terrace and the majestic landscape. House design of z- Level in the olive groves on the Greek Island

The Notre Ntam' Home is a design of Z- Level located between the olive groves on the Greek island of Kos. This design with aim to create a connection with the local surroundings.
The home design is inspired from early industrial buildings that were present on the site before. According to the architects, the residence “appears to rise from the ground in which it is rooted on the side of the olive grove and to levitate on the side of the sea. As you approach the building and walk through it, its spaces unfold like a movie, and the sea appears gradually, framed initially by openings of the stone elevation; then through shady arcades and deep verandas; and, finally, the view opens up on the platform above the cliff.

The house project was especially developed for two families, they are two brothers, therefore it accommodates two seemingly twin dwellings. Integrating them in the topography of the landscape was a major challenge: “The houses are on the ground level and shaped as elongated rectangles, designed on the bioclimatic principles of using openings on either side, ventilation and shading. The multi-level inclined roof creates a single room space at its highest point, with an open balcony that faces the interior of the residence. This final level has glass sides with opening segments which help remove the warm air by drawing it away.”Have a look at the photos below and tell us your thoughts!

An impressive house in Brazil designed by Kali Arquitetura

Pool House is a modern house famous by not only the speed of construction time (30 days) but also the beauty of its slender lines and welcoming outdoor relaxation spaces.
To construct in a short period of time, a a metallic structure was chosen. This also makes the house lightweight, a positive factor considering the river proximity. From the architects at Kali Arquiteture this house is :“an edge of the prism would be placed in the land border and the three other walls would be large mobile glass walls (sliding doors that allow tight integration with the surroundings)”.

Use of simple lines and pure materials were key to developing the Pool House project. The interiors are minimalist, showcasing a color palette in tones of gray, black and white. The only opaque wall of the residence also serves as storage and support for various types of equipment. An amazing architecture work with delicate rustic design in Viet Nam

Today, we are going to one architectural work came from South East Asia, Viet Nam.  It is EPV House, located in Ecopark Green Urban Area designed by AHL Archirtects & Associates.

That house make us surprise because of its delicate rustic design. This design had meet the requirement of clients about a place with peaceful week-end retreat where they could rest, relax and enjoy their free time. A cheerful and welcoming vibe was achieved through the use bamboo and solid wood for interior furniture. An outdoor terrace connects to the main living space with the help of a slide and fold door system. This floods the social zones in natural light, while emphasizing the variety of textures.

 From the architects, a large void has been created in the middle of the house in order to achieve a better horizontal and vertical connectivity. Two wooden fin blocks are released into space, becoming the focal point of the house. One of the blocks unfolds from the second floor, goes all the way to the first level and becomes a partial ceiling. This aesthetically inspiring addition helped the designers hide all technical system on the first ceiling. The colorful dining table is located under the “void”, receiving maximum natural light.
